In 1984, the Law Foundation established funding for annual Law School Entrance Scholarships to honor the 150^th anniversary of the 1834 incorporation of the Law Society.  The scholarships, valued at $10,000 each for the 2023-24 academic year, are awarded to residents of Newfoundland and Labrador enrolled in first year studies at any Canadian Law School recognized by the Foundation’s Scholarships Committee. 

The Law Foundation has also made contributions to universities across Atlantic Canada to provide scholarships to Newfoundland and Labrador students enrolled in their Law Schools as noted below.

The 2024-2025 application deadline is June 1, 2024.  Awards are primarily based on academic ability and will be announced before September 2023.
