Under Part IV of the Law Society Act, 1999, the Law Foundation is authorized to receive and manage interest from Lawyers’ General Trust Accounts. All members of the Law Society and professional law corporations must maintain an approved interest-bearing trust account for client funds. Form LF1 must be completed by each member or corporation with a General Trust Account and submitted to their financial institution to set up the account.
