Mr. Mellor was appointed to Board of Governors in 2017 as the representative of the Attorney General of Newfoundland and Labrador. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Memorial University, and a Master of Arts in War Studies from the Royal Military College of Canada. Mr. Mellor also has a Bachelor and Master of Laws degrees from Dalhousie University.
Since 2000, Mr. Mellor has worked for the Department of Justice, where he is presently the Manager of Civil Litigation. He has appeared in all levels of court in this province, as well as in the Federal Court, the Federal Court of Appeal, and the Supreme Court of Canada.
